Microsoft Surface Pro 8 With LTE Confirmed

Microsoft has announced the Surface Pro 8 with Wi-Fi, but many people were obviously dreaming about an LTE version that would allow them to remain connected even on the go.

And as it turns out, the Redmond-based software giant was aware that LTE support is really a must-have for some customers, therefore the clients are already focusing on such a device.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 with LTE Advanced will therefore launch the coming year, though not one other specifics happen to be provided at this point. What we should can say for certain, however, is that the LTE support would be powered by a removable SIM and eSIM, with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X20 LTE modem to be in control of the whole thing.

All of those other specs are similar to the ones from the main Surface Pro 8, though we ought to expect the LTE version to be a little bit more costly because of the extra functionality.

The standard Surface Pro 8 with Wi-Fi starts at $1,099 in the usa.

Possibly launch in the spring of 2022

It’s obviously run by the latest-generation Intel Core chips and run Windows 11 as they are, as the operating system is projected to be shipped to production devices when the next week.

“This update to our iconic 2-in-1 represents the most significant step forward since Pro 3. Surface Pro 8 is more than two times as fast as Pro 7, with 11th Gen Intel Core processors, two Thunderbolt 4 ports and built on the Intel Evo platform. All of these performance gains, Windows 11 and up to 16 hours of battery life make Surface Pro 8 the strongest 2-in-1 available on the market,” Microsoft explained.

While no specifics have been offered on the ETA from the Surface Pro 8 with LTE, I expect the unit to go reside in the first 1 / 2 of the year, possibly early in the year.
